Oh lets see…when I was a child, I grew up watching Barney, I pretended to be a part of the classroom with Barney and played house with Barney. I then became interested in the fast food business and played restaurant with my brother. I switched my career path and became a doctor for awhile, taking care of Barney (he suffered from a tear near his tail that needed some major TLC) and pretended I was a teacher to who else but my brightest student back then, Barney.

Currently, I’m in school to become a teacher and right now I’m taking a break from studying for finals this week. I thought that was a really nice quote to share.

Also, my camera is gone! Missing, lost, stolen, grew legs and ran away…it’s all the same: I don’t have it! I think someone stole it. I have an idea who it could be but I don’t know how to go about casually asking this person because I’m basing it on gut instinct and not facts so if I’m wrong, I will hurt this person’s feelings and I’ll look like an idiot. But what am I supposed to do? What if this person DOES have it and I don’t speak up and spend money on another camera when it would kill me to  never know if, IF this person has it all along?

Traffic on the freeway last night and it looked bad. It was really backed up and I was so eager to get home so I followed another car who cut across the exit of another freeway to get on another one thinking I could just skip around whatever was going on. Wrong! If there was an exit or a lane to merge onto the right freeway, I missed it because this freeway curved left away from the one I was supposed to stay on if I only was patient like the other cars that stayed!!! So I keep driving while freaking out and decided to exit and not go any further. I wouldn’t be able to even remember what streets I took because all I could think about was my right leg shaking uncontrollably, the rain and looking for names of streets I might recognize, which weren’t many. TC Jester, 11th Street, 26th Street, a few others in between…I found Shepherd–or atleast I think it was, I don’t know, I just followed a metro bus–thank goodness it was a one way street because I didn’t want to choose which turn to take and get lost even more. And so I was starting to calm down because I recognized some shops (a Fiesta liquor store,  Taco Cabana) but then there were a lot of police cars blocking the road and made every car take a detour into this neighborhood to go around. Crap! No street lamps in this neighborhood and the cars in front of me are going separate ways. I chose left and it lead me to a road I didn’t know. I started to panic again until I found Tidwell. I’m not too familiar with that area but turned and kept driving cursing myself again and thank goodness for a ‘Toyo’ auto shop and Burger King/Shell I remembered and was back on the road on my way home.

So! A lesson to learn for myself: pay attention to streets and start learning names of important roads!

A few months ago I stumbled upon this Hilary Duff performance and fell in love with the harem style outfits she and her dancers wore. Gorgeous! So I came up with my own for a Halloween costume contest. You can see mines after the cut.

That sheer polyester fabric was a bitch to sew but I did it. Who would have thought I had the patience to do it.

I didn’t win the contest but it’s okay. I have something to wear for going mountain climbing now.

And Twilight is getting awesome! I can’t put it down! I carry it in my purse now in case I’m stuck somewhere waiting, I’ll have something to read lol. I’m going to go get the other books tomorrow to catch up.

As if I don’t have enough to read already for school, I succumbed to the hype and bought a copy of Twilight. After Twilight, I want to read The Kite Runner and maybe I can start on Angels & Demons again. I started reading it a few years ago but got sidetracked with Harry Potter lol so I hope to start on it again.
